The
reciprocating pump example shown below in Figures 1 to 3 demonstrates the
dynamic cell removal and addition facility of Flo++. At top-dead-center
the left top port opens and the right port closes. At bottom-dead-center
the right top port opens and and left port closes.

below shows the geometry of a demonstrational two-dimensional case. The
different cell colours in the cylinder section indicate the different cell
layers to be removed/added.
Figures 2 and 3 below shows velocity vectors in a section through the
pump with the piston at different positions.
