Magnetic
heating
A new
addition to Flo++ is the solution of electrical and magnetic fields. The
example below shows heat transfer in a electrical conductor. Heat sources
due to the environment, electrical current flow, as well as magnetic
heating are taken into account.
Figure
1 below shows the layout of a typical multi layer multi strand conductor -
each layer being twisted in opposite directions. Figure 2 shows the
complex air pockets between the strands.

3 shows a portion of the computational mesh. Arbitrary mesh coupling is
used to couple the arbitrary overlapping mesh interfaces.
