1. SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
========================

-  Windows95/98/2000, NT4.0-SP3
-  Internet Explorer 4.01 SP1

-  Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 (MSVC)

   NB: MSVC is not required for running the evaluation version.  

   MSVC is needed to compile and link the Flo++ executables in order
   to increase or decrease the data structures for optimum memory usage,
   as well as to compile and link user-defined source code. 

   An attempt to use the linkers without MSVC on your computer will delete 
   the PFLO and FLO executables and you will need to reinstall Flo++ for further 
   evaluation. In summary: If you are only evaluating Flo++, DO NOT RUN linkflo.exe
   and linkpflo.exe!

   

2. INSTALLING FLO++
===================

-  Extract the installation zip file after downloading. Find the setup.exe file and run. 

-  The installation steps should be self-explanatory.

-  Password :
   The installation files of Flo++ is compressed using Winzip and is
   password protected. To obtain the password send an email message to
   Softflo with the following details:

   Address:      flopp.help@softflo.com
   Subject:      password
   Message body: (Your information:)  Title, name, surname
                                      Organization
                                      Operating system you are using


3. TROUBLESHOOTING INSTALLING AND RUNNING FLO++
===================================

-  Move Data Error during setup: Install IE 4.01 or higher prior to installing Flo++

-  Flo++ complains about OpenGL95.dll not found: Run OpenGL95.exe from the Utils directory
   on the CD. Move the OpenGL files to the Windows/System directory. Make sure as to also move 
   OpenGL95.dll, which may be hidden.

-  Help file of Flo++ would not display: Run hhupd.exe from the Utils directory on the 
   CD. This will update HTML Help. Run this file only after Internet Explorer has been installed.


4. CONTENTS OF FLO++ INSTALLATION CD
====================================

-  Root directory
   ReadMe.txt
   RelNotes.txt

   The file RelNotes.txt contains news about the product and the most 
   recent release.

-  Flo++ directory : 
   Contains the setup disks. Run setup in disk1 to install.
   If you have a previous version of Flo++ installed, uninstall first
   and remove the specific version directory, e.g. fpp\v2.30, and any 
   files within, completely.

-  Utils directory : 
   Some documentation is in Word 97 format. The Word 97 Viewer is free  
   and is shipped on the Flo++ CD in the Utils directory.              
   It may also be downloaded from Microsoft:

   hhupd.exe - for viewing Flo++ HTML online documentation
   If the earliest version of Internet Explorer you have on your machine is
   4.01 SP1, you need to update HTML Help (hh.exe). By running hhupd.exe
   this update is accomplished.

   OpenGL95.exe: File for extracting OpenGL libraries for Windows 95. Place 
   in your Windows/System directory.

   ReadMeOGL95.txt: ReadMe file for OpenGL95.exe installation.


5. WHERE TO START
=================

-  Go to the Getting Started Book of the Flo++ Help file FloHelp.chm in the Docs directory.
   Follow the instructions to run example files.
